On the 19th of October 2017 the 14 Catholic schools of Burnley and Pendle gathered together at SS John Fisher and Thomas More High school in Colne to celebrate the gift of Chaplaincy in their schools.
Each school sent their special team of pupils who help to support the faith life of their school.
Each school took it in turn to do a small presentation to reflect on the impact of Chaplaincy in their school and share their plans for the year ahead.
They took part in a variety of activities, such as making a beaded angel to sell and give the money to a charity.
Make a friendship bracelet and give it to a friend.
Decorate a bookmark on the theme “Make a difference”.
Rescue a starfish and work together a team.
Decorate a cross and keep it as a reminder that we all have our crosses to bear.
At the end of the day they celebrated Mass with Bishop Arnold.
All new pupil chaplains were commissioned by the Bishop during the service.
Our new Chaplaincy Team are ready to help and support Mrs Barnes, Mr Stell and all the class teachers to strengthen the Faith life of all the pupils in the school.
