Enjoy all the excitement of the zoo from the comfort of your own home! Listen to some animal themed poetry before taking on the role of researchers, as you prepare your own voice-over to accompany an animal film.

Religious Education
Lent is a special time of preparation for Holy Week and Easter – the most important feast of the Church’s year.
Over Lent this year, try to show your appreciation and love for others by completing all these acts of kindness. You don’t need to do these in any particular order. Please send photos or examples of your good work.

Science
Our new topic this term is ‘Use of everyday materials’ and over the next few weeks we are going to be learning about lots of different materials and how things are made.
This week we are going to identify and compare the suitability of a variety of everyday materials, including wood, metal, plastic, glass, brick, rock, paper and cardboard for particular uses by identifying the uses of different materials.
History
This term we are going to be studying The Victorians and making comparisons between the Victorian era and modern day (Including leisure and how the seaside holidays have changed).
This weeks lesson is all about seasides past and present. I would like you to sort the photographs into those which show seaside resorts in the past and those which show seaside resorts today. Label each photograph with what they show.
You could also have a go at making your very own Seaside puppet theatre!
Art
This term we are looking at an artist called Keith Haring.
He is well known for using bold, bright colours with thick outlines and a cartoon style.

Have a go at drawing 2 different action poses. Remember last weeks’ lesson where you learnt how to draw a stickman first then you drew around the outline.
Then colour it with pencils, crayons or felt tips. Try to use contrasting colours (colours that are opposite each other on the colour wheel) for the background and the character. Use a black felt tip for the outline to make it stand out and add movement lines which brings your character to life.
Have a go yourself and enjoy!
Feel free to e mail any of your drawings.
Computing
I have given you all some tasks to complete on Purple mash - you could also go onto 2email and send me an email!
PE (Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday)
Why not try one of the activities/lockdown lessons from Burnley school sports partnership? Remember you can email me some photographs and videos!
Why not try one of the activities on Mr Ashworth's Home Learning Page!
