Monday 18th January
Phonics - practice your letters and sounds and tricky words. Remember to practice writing the letters and words as well as saying them. There are daily phonics activities to complete in your packs too.
Check your packs because you might have new sounds and tricky words in there.
Today we are thinking about rhyming words. There are lots of rhyming words in nursery rhymes, like Humpty Dumpty and Three Blind Mice. Play the Rhyming Rhino game below read the words carefully and listen for the rhyme, them challenge yourself to write some rhyming words too.
Now you can draw and write in your Story Diary about today's story.
Daily handwriting practice.
Today practice writing the letters b and f on your handwriting sheets, do 2 lines of b and 2 lines of f.
The video below shows the correct way to form the letters.
*Parents - the correct formation is vital, please correct if it isn't right.
Religious Education
We are continuing our topic on Celebrating with the theme of "Local Church". The Local Church theme focuses on the people of God, gathered in Christ, united in the journey of faith, in care for one another, in sharing their story and in celebration.
Tuesday 19th January

Following on from this morning's story Jack and the Beanstalk, you will find some lolly sticks in your pack to help with this activity - making puppets.
Maybe you could retell the story to someone using the puppets you make.

Practice your counting to 20. To keep active you could do 20 jumps, counting as you go or 20 hops. Can you do 20 claps? Here is a number song we use in class.

Let's Move
The final session in this unit builds a short narrative around the legendary character of Robin Hood and his fellow outlaw Will Scarlett. The Sheriff of Nottingham steals money from the poor and places it in a chest under his bed. Robin must retrieve the money and later takes part in an archery contest in Nottingham Castle. But is it just a trap....?
