Year 3 Home Learning
Welcome to Year 3's Learning Page
Date: Monday 11th January - Friday 15th January
Good Morning Year 3!!
I hope you all had a safe but fun weekend in the snow!
This week I have planned some fun lessons for you all to complete.
Please try to log on to Timetable Rockstars (TTRS) and Active learn daily- we have allocated several books and maths games for you to complete. We will be checking weekly to see who has logged on and who is a time table wizard!
I have included a handwriting booklet in this weeks pack - you do not have to complete this by the end of the week but I would like it to be completed by half term (5 weeks). Please make sure it is your neatest handwriting as presentation is very important!
If you have any questions about your home learning or you want to send in your completed work including pictures please send them to your class email - I will check this regularly.
Your home learning packs are ready to be collected from school today.
Take care and have fun.
Miss Shakespeare, Miss Poole, Miss Lincoln and Miss Parkinson
I know many children enjoy reading Roald Dahl books (so do I) so this weeks literacy work is based on the book 'The Twits'. Please click on the link.
When following links online, parents should monitor that children are remaining on that page only and are keeping safe online.
I have also included some comprehension worksheets for you all to complete!
Please practise your spellings for 10 - 20 minutes every day. Try looking the words up in a dictionary and then put them into sentences. If you haven't got a dictionary at home, ask your Mum and Dad if you can use an on-line dictionary using this link Britannica kids dictionary
Spellings for week commencing 11/01/2021
Carrying on from last weeks work, we will continue to your knowledge of time. Telling the time is a very important skill. Last week I included an analogue clock for you to work on at home please continue to use these this week. Throughout the day test yourselves and tell the time. How long will it be till the next hour? How long will it be till lunch time?
Don't forget your timetables too. I have included some extra sheets for you to practise at home daily. Good luck!
Please complete this worksheet by the end of the week!
I have planned an exciting experiment for you all to complete all about reflection and i want you to design a new reflective book bag. Don't forget, you can send in your work to the class email for me to look at.
In history we are going to be learning all about the Romans! I have planned 2 activities for you to complete, the first activity is researching facts about Julius Caesar then I have composed a comprehension activity.
