Year 5 Home Learning
Welcome to Year 5's Home Learning Page
Date: Monday 1st - Friday 5th February 2021
Welcome Year 5 to a new week of home learning! I hope you have had a lovely weekend.
I am so proud of how many of you are now set in a routine for your home learning and have been attending our Zoom meetings. I look forward to seeing more of the work you have completed this week.
Today's Zooms are at 9:30 for English, 11:00 for Maths, 2:00 for Science and 3:00 for everyone to listen to our class novel.
All your work for this week is on here and your paper copy packs are at the school office if you haven't already picked one up. All the links to the worksheets and other resources needed are on this page. I will also continue to post a little schedule for each day at the top of this page to try to make things easier for you.
Don't forget to keep practising your timestables and try reading everyday. I have set your Active Learn account to match your reading band colour in school - so please start using this daily to continue reading. I look forward to some challenges from you on TT Rockstars!
If you need any help or if you want to send in your completed work including photos, please send these to your class email which will be checked daily y5@king-pri.lancs.sch.uk
Please try to do as much of the work as possible because you were all making fantastic progress last term!
Look after yourselves and your family and please be kind to those that are trying to help you with your home learning!
When following links online, parents should monitor that children are remaining on that page only and are keeping safe online.
This week, to go along with your English, in your packs you have work each day on using commas to clarify meaning.
This powerpoint will explain and then point out which worksheet to do. You can come back to the powerpoint each day if you need to: Commas to clarify meaning powerpoint

I am going to do as many Zoom meetings as possible to help you and also maybe post some instructional videos on here - so please look out for these!
