We opened our new library in December 2018 when Dan Worsley the author of Zero to Hero visited our school to deliver story telling sessions in every classroom. Dan ended the day by cutting the ribbon and officially opening the library.
At Christ the King, we believe that reading should be a fundamental part of childhood and a skill which should be developed to support a love for lifelong learning.
Our aim is to develop confident and competent readers who will foster a love of reading through rich and varied texts. Our new library will give children access to a wide range of texts in different formats and genres.
