Well our new library is finally open. On Friday 18th January 2018 Dan Worsley the author of Zero to Hero visited our school to deliver story telling sessions in every classroom. Dan ended the day by cutting the ribbon and officially opening the library.
At Christ the King, we believe that reading should be a fundamental part of childhood and a skill which should be developed to support a love for lifelong learning.
Our aim is to develop confident and competent readers who will foster a love of reading through rich and varied texts. Our new library will give children access to a wide range of texts in different formats and genres.
Parent and child reading sessions
We are opening up the school library on a Friday morning for parent and child reading sessions. The table below shows class and dates for these sessions. If you would like to take part, please enter school via the main entrance and not the class external door.
