Christ the King Primary School is a happy, friendly school situated within lovely grounds on the edge of Burnley in Lancashire.
The school opened in 1970, and has places for pupils aged 4 to 11 years. The majority of our pupils then transfer to the local High School, Blessed Trinity.
We are committed to providing the best possible learning environment at Christ the King to ensure that the achievement of every single child matches their potential. We have a team of committed staff who are dedicated and enthusiastic, and with a supportive set of governors who give up their time voluntarily to provide the strategic vision for the school.
As an inclusive Catholic community that promotes a set of values that are enduring and seeks not only to achieve excellence intellectually, but also spiritually, it is my belief that there is much more to school life than the rigour of school exams. At Christ the King we strive to nurture our students in order that they may become caring, compassionate human beings ready to make a positive contribution to the wider community when they leave our care.
The Home-Parish-School partnership links are very important to us and we aim for them to work in the best interests of your child’s spiritual, personal, social and educational development.
