TA2a Teaching Assistant Vacancy

The Governors of Christ the King RC Primary, A Voluntary Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant who is keen to make a difference in the lives of our children. We are a warm and welcoming school with 212 children on roll.

We require a teaching assistant who is enthusiastic, hard-working, and able to use their own initiative, in addition to having a friendly and positive attitude which will enable them to fit in with our dedicated staff.  Our teaching assistants work as a team and, although they have a class base, they may also be asked to support children and staff in other classrooms. 

The successful candidate will:  

  • Set high standards for all students and be an enthusiastic classroom practitioner.
  • Will inspire our pupils, communicating the ethos of our Roman Catholic school, centred on our school ethos, “Christ at the Heart of All We Do”.
  • Has the ability to form and maintain positive relationships that motivate children, parents and colleagues.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs at grade c or above (or equivalent) including English and maths. 
  • Minimum TA Level 2 qualification or equivalent 
  • Experience working with children 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience working as a TA in a primary setting 
  • First aid certificate  
  • Safeguarding training
