Statement of Intent
At Christ the King RC Primary School, we believe it is important that children develop into fluent mathematical thinkers by developing confidence, independence, resilience and perseverance. Children are given skills to encourage them to think for themselves, make decisions, communicate their understanding and solve problems.
At Christ the King RC Primary School our aim is to develop children’s understanding of mathematics and their ability to reason and solve problems. We believe that children should be encouraged to think for themselves, make decisions and be given regular opportunities to communicate their understanding through mathematical talk and discussion. We want our children to be confident, independent, and resilient in mathematics.
KIRFS can be found on the class webpage and a paper copy is sent home each half term.
We hope that you enjoy working alongside your children with this mathematics work.
